Hey all!
I don't know about all of you, but I have been having a blast this week. We have been really getting into the work in our literature circles, continuing those discussions, and beginning to analyze what we see in our books beyond what is actually being said. This is my favorite part. As we continue in this path and finish up our books we must begin to wonder how might we share our experience with our books with the rest of the class, the school, the world even! Today we took the time to get ourselves into the world of book projects (there is a list of possible projects in the google classroom, along with a copy of the project proposal form waiting for teacher approval). We even had some time to get started on them. I am so incredibly excited for the work I saw today, and I can't wait for the final products. They are due Friday! Next week is going to be very busy, with working on our projects, analyzing our books, and getting ready for our fishbowl discussions, there will be little time to waste. Don't worry though, I have it planned to where you can do most if not all of the work in class (hopefully only some reading at home will be necessary). So... Here we go! Mr. Ruth

Weekly HappeningsThis is where you can check and see a brief overview of what we have done as a class each week. My intention is to keep this up to date with happenings, assignments, trends, previews of the following week, and anything else that needs to be shared with my students and their families. I may not always get something written each week, but I will do my best to be disciplined in keeping you informed. Archives
